Reasons for doing the ride:
To support Kev, to support those waiting for a transplant and to support those who have had a transplant. Also, to spare a thought for those families that have lost loved ones but that an organ (s) donation has saved others.
Cycling experience/miles per day:
Regular cycling/endurance sport training. 1x Ironman & a few triathlons under my belt.
I work for a well respected international airline and cycling helps to manage the effects of jet-lag and other things ( i.e. the occasional Big-Mac at 2am.) Having got to know Kev relatively recently, I have been profoundly affected by his story and an awe of the way he & his family dealt with the situation – both pre & post op. I am honoured to take part in such an important event & cannot wait for July 17th.
Good luck Kev and look forward to meeting everyone on Big Friday.
